Der Fokus meiner Arbeit richtet sich auf das menschliche Handeln und auf die Frage, welche Spuren dabei entstehen. Aus Recherche, Beobachtung und Erinnerung entwickeln sich innere Narrative, die sich in bildhaft gegenständlicher Form verdichten und zum Ausdruck kommen. Zentrales Medium ist der Ton: als eines der ältesten Materialien und in seiner Eigenschaft als Oberfläche, die Spuren sichtbar und lesbar macht.
Meine Vorgehensweise ist assoziativ: Aus Fragmenten bewusster Erinnerung und aus unbewussten Prozessabläufen entstehen eigendynamische Verknüpfungen. So verdichten sich in der Arbeit mit dem Material neue Zusammenhänge, in denen häufig das Absurde, Unlogische oder bisweilen Verstörende hervortritt—nicht immer einer geraden Linie folgend, sondern in Schichtungen, Wiederholungen, Variationen. Manche Fundstücke werden eingebaut und fungieren als Mittragende meiner Resonanzräume.
In my work I focus on human action and on the question, which traces are emerging from it. Through research, observation, and memory, inner narratives can develop—narratives that condense into a pictorial, more figurative form and expression. Central to this is clay: as one of the oldest materials, and in its capacity as a surface that makes traces visible and legible.
My approach is associative: out of fragments of conscious memory and unconscious processes self-driven connections are arising and manifesting in the material—often bringing forth the absurd, the illogical, or sometimes the unsettling. I am not following a straight line, but unfolding my intentions through layering, repetition, and variation. Always carrying finds or other objects into the process I have a deep impact and respect of the stories they carry into this resonance space.
